Designed with the intention of embodying timeless early American design and elevating it with a contemporary aesthetic, The Farmhouse Stay is a welcomed retreat from everyday life. Nestled amongst the rural woods of the Connecticut River Valley, this guest-stay home transports you to another time and place.
This 18th century farmhouse underwent a two-year full-scale meticulous renovation, merging the past and present in every corner using mostly recycled and salvaged material from the original structure, and features 50% vintage or secondhand furnishings and housewares throughout. Thoughtfully designed with no detail unnoticed, The Farmhouse Stay infuses timeless details with rustic charm; every inch of this home has been carefully curated to bring our guests elegant comforts and modern amenities.
This home combines old world influences with modern day design to create a destination that is as luxurious as it is inviting. The Farmhouse Stay alludes to the rustic yet refined nature of New England, recalling the artisan craftsmanship of an earlier, less complicated time surrounded by nature. With the incorporation of materials such as fieldstone, soapstone, slate, posts and beams circa 1780, and reclaimed wood throughout- The Farmhouse Stay captivates with traditional architectural details, while staying true to the A Good Home aesthetic.
Launched in 2023 as our first guest stay accommodations, The Farmhouse Stay is an intimate retreat situated on 14 pastoral acres in the beautiful Connecticut countryside.
Tucked into the wooded hills of Haddam, The Farmhouse offers the perfect rural getaway for those who are looking for some tranquility while also being conveniently located to the amenities and vibrancy of the CT River Valley and Shoreline. This masterfully restored farmhouse sleeps up to 6, boasts a classic covered porch for alfresco dining and lounging, working fireplace and open-concept main floor for the modern houseguest. It’s your home away from home, curated in our signature style.
